Type of paper to buy?
I have read messages, some buy expensive heavy paper while others buy cheap copy paper. I am guessing from this that lenders don't require the nice paper and you can buy whatever is cheapest. Right now I am using really nice paper but would like to go the cheaper route. Is this okay to do? Obviously I am a newbie, but I am trying my best to stay on the right track.

I buy only 20# paper. IMO, anything else is a waste, makes
pkgs. even bigger & adds to the weight for shipping. My best consistent source for paper, both legal & letter, is Costco. They have a good quality multi-purpose paper that never gives me any problems. There are also good deals from time to several of the office supply megastores. I only buy paper by the case, of course.

Thanks so much! I thought the COSTCO paper would be fine, and am about ready to buy "by the case" once I have a few more signings. I have it in my head that it would be bad luck to buy cases of paper I might never use - I hope I'm wrong and that I will need it soon! I am busily signing up with companies that have good reviews (and don't require you to have done a bunch of signings and have many years of being an SA), and searching the forum for advice, so hope all of this effort pays off eventually. (Also NNA certified.)

Yes, but you'll go broke buying by the ream. Legal paper
can run $12/$14/ream vs. $42/case at Costco.

I'd like to keep it in my head that if I buy by the case, business will increase! JMHO

Never had any complaints on cheaper or brightness from
customers. Have had bad experience from printer on some cheaper paper.
