Weird size PDF pages
Every now and then, I find scanned pages that show up on the printer driver as 10.12" x 14.33". My dual tray printer doesn't recognize the non-standard size and either stops to prompt me to select a different tray or prints them as letter size. The only way I can tell that they're scanned to that weird size (unless one of them is the first page) is if I select "current page" from the printer driver so it shows me the dimensions of that particular page. Tonight, it appears to be all pages that look like they should be letter sized, but I've seen this happen often with legal size HUD-1 pages.
Is this a scanner error - or maybe the scanner user error? It seems to be random and doesn't happen very often. (Or could it have something to do with the version of Adobe Reader I'm using?) This has me baffled - and there's no way I can go through every doc package checking each page to see if it's scanned correctly - and it doesn't make sense to print everything in legal, just in case.
Has anyone else noticed this? Thanks!

It happened to me too. The funny part is that I can still print it from my brother 5150 but not with my hp 4350

I get this message all the time on my 4250 HP. Anxious to hear the outcome of this dilemma.

I think it is an error in the way docs are scanned in. I have had this problem a few times and called the TC. They rescanned them and the error was fixed.

Depends on the printer I have a brother 5250 dn and it normally goes to the next standard size higher than the PDF dimensions, but you have to manually press go for each page. You might want to set your printer to print only the problem pages and set your tray size to legal and not check print to pdf.

Every once in a while I get a package that has this problem. My Brother MFC will print the odd size doc as legal size but my HP 4100 will freeze. (The HP is my main printer & the Brother has a toner smudge problem I have not been able to resolve.) My experience has been only one or two pages in the package will do this & in the past I have inserted a legal-size page in the accessory tray & it will print it. Once I had some time to alter the printer settings (the ones that reads 'page scaling' & with the check boxes that say 'choose paper source by PDF size' & there is another there, when using my HP 4100 . I forget exactly what I did but I did get the odd size doc to print out as legal size without the operation stopping in the middle of the print cycle. I wish I could remember what the setting were, but the answer for me was altering one or more of those choices. However, this usually happens when one is running late & the ability to think straight & trouble shoot a problem such as this very much reduced.
