What you pay is what you get.

Just went to Chase branch to do a signing. The loan officer was upset about a notary don't know how to explain docs to the borrower. She told me because that notary was charge them less.

The loan officer should be explaining the docs to the borrower since that's HIS client and he's there. When Notary's handle remote loan signings, they merely "point out the printed facts". I'm surprised the bank's Notary isn't notarizing for the borrowers. Chase still has in-house Notaries that will handle bank generated business - at least the one on the corner (where I live) does.

In the last few months I have done about a dozen Chase loans at a local Chase Bank branch. On the first one the LO was there…nice guy..Intelligent…and friendly. I asked him do you want to present the loan package to your clients, or do you want me to do it. He said he’d try and sit in, but for me to go ahead….he did…I did…easy…no problems. The next few he was not there, and then the next couple he was. He just introduced us, got us a ‘cubicle’ to sign in and asked if we wanted coffee/tea/or water? I’d like about 5 of those a day.

The closings have come through 2 different SS's but I have done more than a dozen at Chase branches in 2011 and the l.o. was never there; only once did the branch know anyone was coming. I always got thee 20 minutes early and told the greeter and/or manger who I was, what the l.o.'c name was (from the 1003) and the name of the borrower and was well treated.
I do wish the l.o. had attended but I no longer expect that.
Happy Thanksgiving.

For one specific TC semi-locally, I did 5-10 of these a day

It lasted about 6 weeks, avg 3 days a week.
Oh, those were the days, huh?
It was mid Nov-1st week of Jan, pay at funding (almost immediately).
They were all well-compensated purchases, most were cash, few were loans, all buyers were WELL prepared. We printed with their paper, toner.
The office was located at an Outlet mall, Chrismastime.
One-hour lunches (shopping).
They were the best 6 weeks of my life! LOL
