24 Hour Escrow Notaries, LLC

24 Hour Escrow Notaries, LLC.
Has anyone signed-up with this company and paid their "bargain" registration fee?
Annual: $129.99 Save $37.97! | Bi-Annually: $79.99 Save $7.98! | Quarterly: $41.99
Do they pay their notary fees when due or are they just another problem child for notaries?
Thanks NotRots!

Re: Glad you're on the board today!

Who, me or Tacoma Boy? In any case, I was interested in your response about process serving. Can we (anybody?) do that in CA? This would be a nice service we could do for fellow notaries - but then I don't know how intrastate small claims works - and it would certainly be a waste of time serving Paul Gambs. Besides, he's probably hiding out in some rat hole, ala Saddam Hussein. How appropriate.

Re: Glad you're on the board today!

I was referring to you being on board. Anybody can serve anybody as long as you are a disinterested party and follow procedures. Remember, you will most likely have to appear in court so your fees/charges should reflect this.

Not so fast James,

There is a limit to the number of serves "just anybody" can perform in a year.

California Process Server Licensing Requirements
If an individual serves more than 10 papers a year they are required to be registered in the county they serve in. Registration is statewide and applicants must be a resident of the State of California for one year immediately preceding filing. There is no testing, or education required. Every applicant is required to post a $2,000 bond or cash deposit. Licensed private investigators are exempt from the registration requirement, but are likely not permitted to serve bank levies and similar documents without being registered per the statutory language requiring that a registered process server serve those documents. [California Business and Professions Code §22350 and §22353]

you're correct...I wasn't thinking of someone who

might be entertaining the idea of making this a career, just a one time deal. I stand corrected and I think I read somewhere about the restriction, 20 and the bond of course. Thanks for setting my straight.

No way would I pay to be on someone's "list". BTW, have you asked them what they pay the notary? And if so, was their answer - depends!!!!!!!!!!! If you are really interested in giving away $129 or whatever it was for an annual fee - I would be glad to take that money off of your hands -
