Going thru a divorce

Friday night, I did the first part of a two part signing, couple in the process of divorce, hate each other's guts, multimillion $$ property being refinanced for a savings of $800 a month. Today I'm supposed to meet the husband, WHO HASN'T EVEN SEEN HIS DOCUMENTS YET, and he wants to study them. I say, fine, I'll leave them with you and you can get them back to title at your leisure, but they have to sign before monday or rate lock expires. He says, well, nothing is happening until I'm satisfied the loan is a solid deal, and the house won't get paid for unless I sign. I am agreeing to notarize his signature on the critical documents, I tell him if he doesn't want the loan, then don't return the package.

For crying out loud, his children have to live somewhere. What a turkey~it's just like I'm going through his divorce too. No wonder she gave him the boot...

So today I'm going to the vineyard/winery that he manages and if he gives me any crap, I'll just go taste so varietal reds and call it "experience". What a way to spend my Sunday, huh?

***What a turkey***

James, before you are so quick to condemn a man for his reaction to what happens in a divorce, you might try experiencing one yourself and see if that alters your perspective, particularly with respect to two issues: Finances and child custody.

I obviously know nothing about what the signer in this instance has done, is doing, or will do, but what I do know from long professional experience is what any male confronts in divorce court, whether he is a saint or a world-class sinner. If he has a bad attitude, it may well be justified. Or he may just be a jerk.

My guess is, you don't have enough information to make that determination.

Believe me, I have enough evidence to call this guy a turkey. And a jerk....he will be one for all of his life.

If people could only view a video of their married life and divorce at the end of the path, they'd likely not marry. Too painful, and expensive.

I've had many experiences, so I know a jerk when I meet one, and a turkeys too. With or without a pending divorce.

For the fun of it,...tell him you're going thru a divorce and give his scenario with his problems as if it was yours........tell him what an a$$hole your spouse was being, ask him what would he do and see if he get's it....then RUN! lol

That comment was meant for Cheryl. I know how it would be taken...here.

I also lived in Oregon, Portland, Salem, Turner, Hillsborough and Beaverton, I know how it would be taken there also.

33 wonderful, memorable years, per his own admission. Not sure if Cheryl is or has been married 33 wonderful years, but I agree with Lee, you're getting yourself all screwed up...lmao
