Illigal Immigrants
The immigration law in Alabama got very tough and many illegal immigrants, who have lived in the state for many years, are now leaving for fear of getting arrested and deported. Many of them own real property and vehicles in their names. I was approached with Power of Attorneys so they can leave behind these properties in the care of others. Can I help notarize these documents?

Sure.... but the big problem is what does AL have to say about IDing a signer? In most states, you can notarize as long as they have valid ID....probably not that matricular whatever thing from Mexico. As they have cars, maybe they have a DL from AL?

I would say yes, as long as the person signing the document has what is considered to be legal identification according to AL law. I doubt if one has to be a AL resident, or even a US citizen to have their signatures notarized/witnessed in AL. Check your states notarial law. JMO

Hector, it sounds like you may know their "valid" ID is false. Being a notary requires being honest, so just exclude yourself from those. if they obtained the property illegally too bad! IMO
