More Title/Escrow and Lenders calling direct
to schedule EOM signings this month it seems. I received several calls for last minute signings yesterday and am hoping I scored brownie points for repeat business from 3 title companies and 1 lender I haven't worked with before. Nice solid fees, no hand-holding; this is what loan signing is supposed to be!

If we could ever get Signing Agents to "just say no to signing services" we could swing this business back to direct orders.
Many will say this is a pipe dream but it is working for me...more business than I can handle and no SS deals. Good fees, docs are always on time, borrowers has the HUD before the appointment and we get paid in a few days instead of 45-60.

Funny, the opposite has happened for me lately. Signing services have been calling me more and of course offering a lower fee than I accept. I stick to my fee and three SS have agreed to pay it these last two days. However, I find that jobs with SS end up being more of a PITA - large FHA package or borrowers who are not well informed, which leads to phone calls from the table and a longer appointment time. I don't have those issues with my regular TC clients.
