Need help connecting an old Brother printer! HELP!

Hi There,

I am trying to install an old Brother (5140) printer on one of my computers. I had this old printer on standby for emergencies and I have an emergency. I cannot find the CD and when I try to add this printer my computer does not have it listed on it's "add printer" list. I tried finding and downloading a driver online, however, the printer still does not show on my list of printers. Can someone help me? Do I just restart my computer? I know....great day to add a printer but one of my others died last night.

I'm sure you did this already but go to Google. I just typed download brother 5140 and the driver is there.

Just follow the instructions and good luck.

I'd re-start the computer after the DL and installation.

Make sure you have the right driver for your oprerating system ( XP,Vista, Win& or Mac). Check the Brother website for proper driver as suggested above. If probs, post back with op system/computer info.
