Julie, what's the name of the document?

I just talked to Julie, and it is asking for a notary registration number.
By her signature where it asks for the commission expiration date it is also asking for her registration number.

I have never come across that before.

I've had mortgages that had a line for "serial"

number under the notary signature - I assume they mean my commission number - sometimes I fill it in, sometimes I don't... I also don't call hiring party and ask either

Re: Registration Number

There is no reference to "registration number" in any of the last California notary Handbooks, therefore, I would put in my commission number.

I also came across that on a service link docs on the DOT...it was an out of state loan. I assumed they are asking for your commission number.

You asked that question in an earlier thread. My answer is the same:

Your unique Registration Number is the equivalent of a Vehicle Identiication Number, or VIN, and was issued to you at birth. You will find it on a small slender plate on your left shoulder blade. It is also stamped on your transmission, but you will have to find that one by yourself.

But what happens if you had to replace your transmission? Guess you had better get another number or get back in line.

Try orange search key, there's a wealth of info available.

Or you might consider taking a course that fully explains the docs and how to perform the services you are offering.

I fill in my commission no. when asked for a registration no. They are one and the same.
It's a valid question though.

Why the nasty tone of some of these responses?
