Notary Direct

Offering reverse application signing for $40 with a guarantee that you get the signing once the process is complete but for only $75.00. TOO LOW! Plus, whose to say they actually will be approved and the docs finalized.

Exactly, Hmac!

About a year ago, I accepted a refi application signing for $75. The promises on the phone were: you're guaranteed to get the refi signing; borrowers already know what docs you need to pick up, they've had the list for at least a week; it's a quick, pick-up-the-docs, have them fill in 2 pages and sign where indicated.

Well, borrowers were not prepared and whole thing took just as long (if not longer than) as an actual signing.

I got a call this morning for same thing only this time, they offered $50. Told them I did this before and never saw the refi signing. She said, "Well, you'll get it if we get it. But, if you don't want to do it, it's ok." I didn't take it.

Fool me once ..... Wink

for me, it is the arrogance that's

displayed by the people calling.

It is not that they are useless......they could always be used as a bad example of how to talk to someone! LOL

They just called me....I SAID NO! They are ridiculous! $50 for a signing??????? If we all come together to stop this maybe these companies will get the message that we DONT WORK FOR FREE!

I did 2 of those modification apps

for them at $40 a pop when I started out last year. Now that I know that those apps take a minimum of an hour I won't do them for $40. They refuse to pay more....I tell them no thank you.

I myself have done a few apps when I was just starting out for $50 and learned quickly that they take FOREVER. Especially on the Reverse Apps because the people are older and more confused. Thankfully on those I was able to get the Reverse Closing BUT only because I was contacted directly through the title company and was able to be paid an amount I think is worth it considering the time, patience, engery and paper involved.

I took another application for them for a Reverse not too terribly long ago for the $50 but ended up LOVING the family I had to work with and got the final closing BUT it did not end up coming through Notary Direct which was great cause it was good pay.

They never want to pay their notaries AND if that isn't insult to injury, you have to wait 30-45 days for what little bit of money they offer. Plus when you do tell them what you are willing to negotiate for, they act as though YOU are the bad guy and come a dime a dozen.

I had this happen with another company recently and I thought a local notary took a $70 refi based on the fact I received an email which said the job was no longer available and in which I was alittle peeved about because I turned it down based on the $70 being an insult when the job was atleast 30 miles away. Strangely enough they called me the next day to book the job and offered me more then the $70 they had originally sent out in the email which I choose NOT to accept. Notary Direct had the attitude as though, if I didn't accept this really great $40 app signing offer then screw me and onto the next. Well I guess they found a sucker because I hadn't heard back. I told them that $40 was ridiculously low regardless if it was a "new" client or not. Did I mention you would be printing? I'm pretty sure that was the case. I told her well thats worse then the $50 they offered and her words were.. well you didn't need to print it, you just needed to show up. Then when she told me what the ReVERSE MORTGAGE CLOSING FEE was $75, I practically threw up in my mouth. I said are you serious? I really really hope that people are making good choices in the jobs they take. Its very competitive right now and more and more it seems like you have to sell your soul to make a buck. My favorite is.. oh it's just a simple refi.. then the next thing you know .. its a 161 pages.
