I prefer Brother printers all the way around. I have only mono (black) printing, and wouldn't think of investing in color for this biz.

Love my brother dual tray color MFC, it's perfect for this.

I only got a color laser because I needed it for other situations, but if you are only doing document printing for this biz you really only need black and white. They make those too.

Besides not really needing color for this biz...

the toner is more expensive and the pictures are not that good on a laser printer in my experience. If you want or need a color printer (especially for photos,) IMO, your best bet would be an inkjet.

Any opposing opinions?

In my situation it's the best choice.

I only wanted one new piece of equipment.

I have several old inkjets.

If I print pics they are fine for my needs, I have a photo printer if that quality is needed.

Toner is cheaper for this model than other brands B/W laser cartridges. (I didi the math myself, because it was fun.)

Let me guess. You are buying a laser color to print their appraisals in color that they just throw in the package and when you get there to learn that they have already received a copy already.

I was just joking, but I can't complain of my monochrome Brother HL-5340DLTW.
