Please check back during normal business hours?
I just got a call for a prospective police officer on her way to take a range test. Their liability waiver has to be notarized, and about every 3-5 weeks I'll get four panicked phone calls from prospective cops on the way to take their range test. (I should just go park my car at the training center every Saturday morning).
The way it worked out, I couldn't get to her by the time she needed the document signed, and being a Saturday morning, there weren't a lot of the usual suspects for a walk-in appointment available to her. (Banks, UPS Stores, etc).
I logged on to NotaryRotary today to find her a number of someone closer, and interesting thing--for all emails, and many phone numbers, all profiles said "please check back during normal business hours."
Holy cow! Are all profiles shut down like this? They were shut down for notaries that advertise 24 hour service too. Is it just a fluke? Just in case in the future, I think I'll include my email and phone number in my profile description.

I contacted a few notaries in my area just to say hello and do some networking. Nothing negative but I did fine some who only did signings part time, some weekends only, some only after work hours during the week.
It help me to understand my competition (wasn't as much as I thought) and also gave me someone to contact in the event I wasn't available. Giving that a try can't hurt. IMO

It appears to be a computer issue, not a notary setting..
Yes, I know several folks--even people who I have talked with before--their numbers and email don't turn up. Even my email. :-/ That is not good.

I've seen this happen before, too. I like your idea and included my phone number in my profile. Thanks for the suggestion.

I though everyone knew that's what you got after 6:00 PM (PST) until around 8:00 AM (PST), it's been doing that since I joined a decade ago. Don't know why though and never asked Harry.

Also, it might make a difference if you're not signed in.

Wow...hate to say it but we don't all live on pacific time - so this means that my info's not available untill 11:00am EST?? I never realized this is how it worked - I want my info available at all times, not pacific time.

Believe that you actually need to LOGIN to access
the email address and websites. This is a security measure by NOTROT, so that non members can not mine notrot for email addresses and notaty websites. Try actually logging in and not just "going" on notrot.

Re: Believe that you actually need to LOGIN to access
Bob is correct. I checked someone's profile without being logged in and the message "to check back during business hours" was there. After logging in, I checked the same profile and could see all the information.

***Bob is correct.***
Bob -- "Bobsy" to his more intimate friends -- is always correct. His wisdom has been honed by countless hours trying to divine what sort of drugs Alexander Calder was on when he created his Chicago mobiles, and where he can get some; his ingenuity by a lifetime of trying to figure out the easiest way to dig his car out of its tomb of lake effect snow, and a way to get his wife to shovel off the sidewalk; his mental agility by trying to figure out a way to separate the term "Chicago politician" from the definition of "crook", and his measured approach to years spent in ethnic bars studiously comparing the merits of beers from around the world and barmaids' derrieres from across the room.
NotRot depends on Bob, though Bob himself favors another brand.

Why I don't get more business from this site??
That never registered with me before. How very sad! Potential clients for general notary work have no reason to create a log-in to find a notary, and it's AFTER business hours when people are most likely to need to call one of us to get something notarized vs. going to the UPS Store or Mailboxes Etc, or whatever.
So Harry basically has to disable a key benefit of advertising here to prevent someone from stealing the data that we pay to have displayed here??!!! Like I said, very sad, indeed!

Janet, your phone number shows. It's just your
email that is protected.
I am glad that my email is not there for those who are not logged in.

Telephone numbers & websites do display
I believe our phone numbers are the first point of contact 90+% of the time.
Email addresses are what doesn't display if you're not logged in.
Good point about adding information in our profiles that we want to have displayed at all times. :-)
