Professional Liability Insurance up to $2,000,000 Available
Notary Rotary is now offering professional liability insurance with limits up to $2,000,000.
As you have probably heard, several title companies are now requiring notaries to carry policies with limits of $500,000 or $1,000,000. Policies like these are typically underwritten, claims-made (meaning you must always keep it in force to have coverage, even for prior acts), and have annual premiums ranging from approximately $500 to $2,000, depending on coverage level, deductible and underwriting criteria.

Please be mindful of the fact that they are expensive and there's no way around it. You will have to weigh the likelihood of increased business, your cost and fee structure, against the premium.
