80 degrees here today! Summer in October! Same here
in Chi-town and ZERO change of mudslide, earthquake , brushfire, or of invasion by alfalfa sprout eating hoards. Have a great day. Off to see my six year old granddaughter's soccer game. About as exciting as watching paint dry, but she is adorable.

This time of year, Insurance Companies
are going into their busiest season. I'm talking about Life & Health insurance companies. Many hire seasonal and per diem employees to serve as Enrollers, Benefit Specialists, etc. These jobs require people to attend Health Fairs and enrollment meetings at businesses and hand out information about the employers' insurance coverage. I would suggest that you check out: Unum and Kaiser Permanente since you're in California. BTW Kaiser refers to their enrollers as "Thrive Ambassadors".

Tax Preparation? n/m

Re: Tax Preparation?
Absolutely. The Federal Government has made massive changes in the training required to be a tax preparer effective with the tax year 2012 (preparing in 2013).
This year each tax preparer must have their own PTIN (preparer tax identification number).
Based on the paid tax preparers for year 2010 (1,200,000) this new requirement has gotten responses of only 700,000. This was as if June of this year.
The new training requirement is the best thing that has happened to the industry (IMHO).
Want to check it out?? Go to www.IRS.Gov. It is on their home page.
Good Luck. John Tennant E.A.
