Speedy Closing New Jersey
Does anyone have any info on how to get paid by this company. They don't answer the phone and I have invoiced, called and left msgs, and faxed all to no avail for a job done in July. Any help will be appreciated.

I'm sorry I don't know what you mean by SC?

There are tabs at the top of the web page, one says Signing Central. That is where you can check out a company excepting a signing. Hope that helps.

That's a hard lesson to have to learn, but
we all have to learn it, that's for sure. We are so lucky to have this website. I think sometimes we want to give people and companies the benefit of a doubt, but there are reasons why many of these companies have the ratings they do. We WANT to believe they won't do it to us, or "I'll give them ONE chance." And some times we may be okay with that one. But inevitably, IMO, it'll EVENTUALLY happen.
I don't know if that's necessarily true if you are a lowballer or in a remote area that they NEED you, but for those of us that value ourselves, time and our worth, that won't accept lowball fees or are in saturated areas, I think that we are expendable to them.
For me, I live in NJ and was relentless. I did not "take the loss." (mostly because, I got FURIOUS that he was making a fool out of me by constantly lying to me saying "it's in the mail, it's in the mail", and I kept believing him.) I finally had to act like a crazy woman (believe it or not), threatening to drive to his office and bringing the cops with me, that he finally paid me (via paypal). It took months and months, but I guess the unprofessional screaming at the top of my lungs worked...not one of my proudest moments, but the squeaky wheel (or big mouth) got the oil (or pay which I worked for.)
There are some really good suggestions on how to get paid from these lowlife companies if you use the orange search button. Not sure if my method would work for you, but I guess if you have months and months to wait, all the while emailing, faxing, calling, begging, crying and finally loosing it, it might work for you too.
I say, don't give up until the miracle happens.

Re: That's a hard lesson to have to learn, but
What worked for me with one scumbag company was to report them to the BBB. I don't know if, in the end, they can compel the company to actually pay, but I know it got them to contact me about my payment instead of avoiding me. I had emailed and emailed, and called, and faxed letters for two months straight, all to no avail. But when they got that complaint from the BBB, all of a sudden they had fingers to dial my number, and a mouth with which to speak to me. Maybe it will work for you too. BTW, I contacted the BBB in the state where the company operates, which is a different state from where I live and work.

one of the first signings I ever did was for speedy. I kept emailing Frank about payment, he would reply " Ron take care of this"
I probably emailed him 5 or 6 times before I finnally got paid. My last email said " Frank, I think you should fire Ron, he's not paying me."
I won't take any more from him. Comments about speedy are bad.

You might want to put in a call to the states attorney generals office and ask thier advice, they're not to big on fraud, especially over state lines. If they cant help you they will know where to direct you.
