What do you think of this?
I keep getting emails from a signing service with a "so-called" signing in my area.
Once I click on to "accept" the closing it takes me to a site to where I had to pay a membership fee to advertise my notary service.
I think this is a very dishonest way to get people to go to their site. NO real signing, they just want me to sign up.
What do you think?
Thanks, Tim

It stinks! I don't know what kind of business they think that will generate: I don't think any decent, reputable Notary Public would want to work with a signing agent so underhanded!

I copy the email address and filter it for spam. That way future emails go straight to spam/trash as that is what I consider those types of emails.

There is also a smartphone app like that. I think it's called, find a notary and when you put in a zip, you'll get a call from someone asking if you're looking for a notary? Then they want signup info. Very dishonest.

Conceding their apparent business ethics do you think they would pay you if you did sign up and if they did have an actual signing that you completed for them, or would keeping your fee just be considered a bonus on their part? I think I’ll pass.

Deception is not the best way to begin a business relationship. It's kind of like those marketers who send mail in an official-looking envelope, or an envelope that appears to have a check in it. If they trick me into opening it, I can't work with them anyway - because I don't trust them.

I think you're probably referring to National Loan
Closers who have a platform to service a couple of clients. I don't pay their membership fees & most of the offers are too low anyway.

Re: I think you're probably referring to National Loan
Yes thats the company better known as National Loan closers or Loan Processing Centre of KY louisville ky , they give 3 free signings and then to get more have to pay service fee either monthly or yearly/ they are SLOW pay august billings being promised to be paid on OCT 21 with 5 days for mailing unless notary wants to set up a green charge debit card lol what ever that is/ they promise to credit it faster / prefer checks to track payments the old fashioned way

Could they be trying to get higher on the search engine?
I don't recall if this is true or not, but don't you go higher on a search engines site the more hits you get?
If so, they've got the ultimate scam across the board dontchya think?

Please disregard my post regarding this company. I have found out they are in fact a real service and will offer a free listing to notaries as well as a paid membership. They are a well respected and honest company.
