one to three star signing services/ title companies

I just added to the end of my profile. " If you are a one to three star signing service/ title company on this site, please don't call". I'm tired of turning back jobs to these deadbeats.
I just won't do business with these pariah no matter what the terms are.

The other " schmuck" will soon find their credit cards max'ed out buying toner, paper, gas, and etc and making no profit from these deadbeats that don't pay. I say everyone should boycott three stars and below and bring this profession back to an honorable and profitable status.

Re: Man after my own heart! lol...oh but shhhhh some might

I've been on this world long enough to understand price fixing. No numbers were included. This is simply a freedom of expression protected by our Democracy. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH DEADBEATS AND THEY ARE USUALLY ONE TO THREE STARS ON NOTROT

Writing a negative statement in your profile is awful

The last thing, that someone, who wants to hire us is to see a negative statement in our profile.

Keep all negative statements/religious/political/etc out of your profile.

You are trying to sell yourself in your profile and nothing negative should be in your profile and all statements should be positive.

Re: Writing a negative statement in your profile is awful

Actually, exactly the same thing can be accomplished by stating it positively.

"If you want the best, call the signing agent who caters exclusively to four-star companies."

Re: Writing a negative statement in your profile is awful

There is nothing negative about a statement of who I will not do business with. Business's do it all the time with "we reserve the right to refuse service" signs. Four and five star companies know who they are and will understand why that statement is there. Therefore I "reserve the right".

My .02 FWIW

Jim, I just read your profile - professional, comprehensive and well stated....til that last line. That last sentence just ruins the whole thing for me. You may want to re-think putting this in your profile.

Re: My .02 FWIW

I have to agree.
Consider title companies who are not listed on this site at all.
I think Hugh articulated it well.
If you have to include something like this, make it a positive statement.

Re: AMEN Jim! Let some other schmuck keep em in business!

OK, OK, OK. I appreciate everyones input. The statement in my profile was out of frustration. So far this year I have accepted three 2 and 3 star assignments after reading mixed comments in SC. By the way I don't "blindly" just look at the star only and it takes more than one negative comment to achieve 1 to 3 star. It's a trend. Two of the assignments turned into no pay and out of busuness. The other became a serious collection issue that was eventually paid. So far that's 100% bad in my book. I will go back to my previous process. If I don't like their reputation on NOTROT, then I will turn it back.

i have said it before, and I will say it again, the NR star

ratings are a very valuable tool, but they are still a tool. The hammer does not
control the carpenter.
Many good companies may have lower than proper ratings due to a few bad reports by NSA
who may have a dispute, legitimate or not with a particular company. Also may have low star ratings , because the offer less money that a particular NSA requires due to that NSA's particular circumstances. Your fee requirments may be less due to your own individual circumstances.
You need to read the comments and board posts relating to that company and reach your own conclusion. You are potentially shutting yourself of from profitable work by just blindly following the "star" ratings.

To JimAZ....I did the same about 1 1/2 years ago only

I think mine said something like "I will NOT take low-ball offers". To be honest, I still got calls offering low-ball fees. Incidentally, my fees are listed and yet I still (even after posting THAT negative) got calls for $75 -$85 offers.

So listing your specific fees doesn't work and neither will posting what you honestly feel.

I don't get very much work from this site so I would suppose If I posted don't call me, it wouldn't matter, I'd still get calls.

It's your profile...go for it!
