123_Notary....question about dues

Is it just me or did they used to have an option to renew your current membership to keep it the same? I have always had an economy listing so each year I budgeted for a that amount. Now when you go to renew the options are upgrade or downgrade??? Doesn't make sense...I am really not liking this.... Frown

It’s probably poor form...

...to come to NotRot to complain about renewal procedures on that other site. Harry does such a great job of providing us with such a great site that we are all pretty protective of him, and don’t want to see him get entangled in spats with the operators of any other notary web sites.

Incidentally, because of that, it’s best to refer to that other site as the “numbers site.”

Agree with Hugh, Julie, etc. The other sites are

competition for this one, so we have an etiquette of not discussing them here except to refer occasionally to the "nos. site" or the "coffee site".
Your question should be directed to that particular site. I'd call them.

Harry has no competition...tee hee

Actually, all the sites bring their own special "flavor" to our industry.

I love and appreciate them all.

I have been a paying member of the ‘Numbers Site’ for years, I think the work I get from advertising with them has been worth many times my membership fee. I have been a paying member of the ‘Coffee Site’ since they started, and my dues dues there have been returned to me a hundred fold. This site is still my favorite, and my paid membership here has been returned to me in work assignments more than all of the others. The Notary Rotary paid membership is a bargain in anybody’s book! And the knowledge that one can acquire here is priceless!
Harry I would gladly pay double what you charge today! This is not my opinion, this is an absolute FACT!

Me too..What Les said..

Notary Rotary is the absolute best..We don't get charged a higher fee the closer it gets to renewal time either or our placement does not go to the highest bidder..I do pay the other sites..I do get business there but not as much as from this site..

I recently had someone come to my door and he had a copy of my profile from Notary Rotary..He did his homework googled my area..And Not Rot came up..

Thanks Harry for a wonderful site!

Why doesn't someone just answer the person's question? Yes, Notary Rotary is excellent, but that wasn't the question, was it?. The person has a question. Answer it and move on.

The answer is: Simply call Carmen or Jeremy and ask them. They will explain the rate structure. Yes, it's overly complicated, and probably Ouija Board-driven, but I get tons of calls generated by 'that' site and Notary Rotary both, and there's lots of useful information on both, and they are both well worth the money. Notary Rotary on overall easier to use.

Unfortunately, it isn't productive to post questions like this one on this site, because (a) you probably won't get the answer you want and (b) people have to make many clever comments and then busily congratulate each other on their caustic wit, or (c) berate you for invoking the actual name(s) of the evil competition in actual print, thereby taking all of the mystery out of the slang, code words and miscellaneous letters. Where has English gone?

or (d) the posters wish to respect the operator of <this> forum and not resolve problems for his competition here, or (e) it's fun to see someone throw a hissy fit when postings don't fit his preferences.

Re: 123_Notary....Ralph

Perhaps the OP should have read “rules and guidelines” above before posting, or perhaps asked Harry’s permission to post the question first? Some here tried to answer the question in perhaps a convoluted manner because of the “rules and guidelines”. My question is why would anyone ask that question here? Many here do not belong to ‘the numbers site’ and wouldn’t have a clue? If the OP is a member there why not go THERE, and ask their membership?

Duuhhh - that's what I said. Call Carmen or Jeremy and ask them.
