Is it just PA where it's slow. This month is not good. 2 more scheduled for EOM. I have my name on every site and keep marketing. Calls just not coming in. Let me know what's going on in your neck of the woods.

Not too busy my way either

I have become more selective in distance, company and fees. As you may imagine I do far less signings than in years past. Fortunately other aspects of my business keep me afloat.

I had a fabulous June . . . and then July and August were slow. Septemer is picking up a bit, but not where I would like for it to be. My two regular title companies are not calling me for as much business as they usually do, but it seems I am getting more calls from signing companies for loans that are closing within the next 1 - 2 hours. Lot's of last minute stuff. I am not sure if other notaries are backing out at the last minute and they are left scrambling to find someone to close the loan, or if all the notaries in my area are busy and I am their last choice, or if they are just getting them last minute from the title companies. I'm not complaining....just noticing how this business is ever changing and ya just have to go with the flow. Just thanking God for the continued calls.

with the unreal interest rates currently being offered, the lender's pipelines are clogged. What was taking 24 to 48 hours to clear u/w, is now in some cases taking 10 to 14 days. Wait another week and all SA's should be so busy that they'll be unable to keep up with the demand. Keep your rates up there!

I have been very very slow here in Dutchess county. I hope things pick for all of us. I have been turning down a lot of low ball/hand holders as well.
