Cal Land & Title - clta.org

Hi,
Does anyone know if Cal Land is a current title company offering work to notaries? (if you can get a foot in the door, that is). I thought they sold out to Stewart Title. ???

Also, there is an online application for notaries: http://clta.org/documents/Application_Affiliate.pdf
and the cost is $375 a year. Do any of you belong? Are you getting jobs for the $375?

My understanding is that California Land Title Association is a trade organization for " ... real property attorneys, mortgage bankers, financial institution executives, data providers, contractors, consultants, and escrow agents ...."

I don't think it's a title company in and of itself.
