FASS
Do you know that FASS now will not let you schedule two appointments of theirs within 1.5 hours of each other? If you try to take a 9am from their website and you have a 10am that same day with them, you get a msg that you have to allow 1.5 hrs in between...even if they are in the same town. Apparently, too many notaries are overscheduling themselves and showing up late to appointments. I suggested FASS take away their White Glove Status to deal with that instead of punishing the rest of the notaries.

I suggest that if you work for FASS you deserve what you get.

I’ve never worked for FASS, and I never will. I know too much about the people that run it.

Just so you know, white glove status means one thing and one thing only, that you will take signings for $50. It has nothing to do with how well you do your job! It has nothing to do with quality control issues. White glove is only for the signing agents to be able to take signings directly from the website for the $50. I was labeled white glove and every time they called, and I would agree I could a particular signing, they'd say, I'll send that over for $50 and I would tell them every time, that is not my fee, it's $XXX. Finally, I was talking to one of the schedulers and she said, she would put my correct fee in the system, but it would mean I would lose white glove status. I said, okay then. Since that time, I get called more, never have to quibble about my fee, and do a lot more work for them. Worked out great!! Not being white glove is the way to go..... (By the way, I never accepted signings via the website because you had to agree to the $50 to take them.)

I agree, they have a list of requirements to be met in order to be qualified as "white glove", most of which make sense and are related to the quality of your work. However, they then require that you have the lowest rate in your area ... it makes no sense how that would affect "white glove" status. I get calls from FASS quite a bit, have 100% quality rating but am not "white glove" because I am not lowering myself to accept a $50 fee ... I don't care how many loans that would allow me to accept online, it doesn't make sense financially to take all the loans I can get for $50 when I can wait, get a call from them directly and do a loan for $125. - Sue

I have met their white glove status and have talked to one of the schedulers about getting the white glove status. It sounded like you were automatically put on white glove status once you met the qualifications which, if memory serves me correctly, it's 3 months or something without errors. I met all their qualifications and was never put on 'white glove status'. Maybe I'm glad I wasn't put on it if it only means $50 a signing, not that I would take it, but unbelievable.
