Flooding in NE Pa

How did everyone make out? I'm limited on where I can go for now because a lot of roads are closed or damaged badly. I just got a call for an area I can't get out to. You would think they would check with the borrower first before they try to schedule.

I'm in Lehighton and all four roads out of my development were closed to minor flooding. Had a call yesterday to be in Luzerne County, but I told the scheduler 65,000 people were being evacuated and I would not go. Waters have receded today and I can get out.l

You would like they would talk to borrower first before scheduling these. I have another called me me to meet at a bank here in Towanda on Monday but the bank was flooded and probably won't be open Monday. She is going to see where they live. Chances are I can't get to them.

It's devastating here in Luzerne County. My boyfriend's grandmother lives in Duryea and the water is past the second floor so far Frown

I'm still getting calls coming in for closings in Wysox and West Pittston today! Borrowers are telling schedulers that THEIR house is fine. What they don't seem to grasp is that all the roads leading into these towns are out. Travel is going to be rough for a while around here Frown

Stay safe..it's not worth it!

in MD its not too bad, travel-wise at least

They have opened the floodgates, but at least the rain has stopped. Some areas have been evacuated, one major roadway is closed, but you can still get around. Power is out in a lot of areas as well. I am not affected, but many friends have had to salvage what they could and more to higher ground. It's very sad.

We went through just that type activity during the hurricanes of 2004 - winds howling, water sheeting across the skies, roads, etc. and some little voice asking that we go right into these conditions.....where we knew there was no access or houses left for that matter.

They have no clue....just get this signed. LOL
