HP P2015 printers and 64 bit Systems
I posted a comment on a thread the other day about P2015 printer errors on 64 bit systems and had a bunch of PMs about it, so I thought I'd share the info for all (and make it searchable in case I loose it).
I started buying my toners from a local company this year, even though prices were slightly higher than online. One of the HUGE bonuses is that they've been helping me troubleshoot my printers when they act up, and they don't charge me for it (how cool is that?)
Nick, the tech guy at Magnum Print Solutions sent me this info about getting a P2015 printer to cooperate on a 64-bit Windows system. (Symptoms of "illness" are dropping print jobs, missing pages, PCL XML errors, very slow print rate, etc).
Uninstall all installed HP printers, then follow Nick's directions below (the tech guy from my awesome printer supply company) and then reboot. It should work great.
I have four computers, and I'm currently using two HP P2015 printers (I have two other HP printer models). My two 64-bit machines both have this problem periodically, so I'm SO glad to have a fix.
NICK's Solution (From Magnum Print Solutions, in Seattle) The driver you're looking for is the HP Universal Print Driver for Windows 7 x64, PCL5 version. Here is a link to the download page: (NOTE: PCL 6 DOES NOT work properly with 64-bit systems!) http://goo.gl/ARgMl Once it's installed, you will have to remove and re-add the printer icon to take advantage of the new drivers. Good luck! Jessica

Two more things
If upon unzipping, you get an "error 5" message, choose the other windows install kit (32 bit vs 64 bit).
If your HP P2015 makes a terrible grinding sound and can't pull paper, pull out tray 2, and you'll see a tiny black lever hanging down. Push it up sharply and reinstall tray 2. The grinding will stop.
I don't know the purpose of this lever, but it took quite a lot of cursing and gnashing of teeth to discover the solution to this one...
