I worked for Central Title & Escrow again in July 2012 and once again I received payment at 2 weeks. I always include an invoice in the return package with signed/notarized docs.

Be careful they will start ordering a bunch of closings from you and start to pay well but then when you have a large balance due they will not return phone calls or emails. I have now reported them to the BBB.

If they are truly a Title company and not just using the word "Title" in their company name, they have a state regulatory agency called the Department of Insurance. Draft a letter to the Department of Insurance for the state of Virginia, detailing the facts and circumstances of your agreement with Central Title. Date the letter 10 days forward and send copies by fax, email, certified mail and regular mail (yes, in ALL four formats) to Central Title. If they do not FedEx your check to you by the deadline on the letter, then move forward and send the letter to the Department of Insurance in Virginia.

I had to send a demand letter (first time ever) to a Settlement Company and they were falling over themselves trying to pay me before the deadline..it worked for me!
