Need Help with Getting Started w/ Title Companies
Hi All, I've been getting all my loans thru signing services, and would like to also work directly with my local title companies. But I don't know how to get started... For those of you who work direct, what do you do to make that happen? Are you walking into Title Offices (cold calling) to introduce yourself?
I know many of TO's have to work from an approved notary list... How does one crack the code?
Thanks!!!!

Local title companies usually have their own in-house notaries.
Look in Signing Central - there are Title companies listed there

I have walked in cold on several occasions, no luck they all have their own in house notary. I worked with one of those for a couple of months..He was not a very nice person..Would call me at the drop of a hat and expect me to jump when he said jump. He had me going everywhere with minutes notice..Didn't take long for me to realize I couldn't work like that..he closes for 15 local TC..they can have him..

I've worked with a couple local TCs. Although they have in-house notaries, sometimes their clients want service in their homes or at hours not convenient for the TC notary. That's when they call me.
It's good to introduce yourself in person so they know you are a professional, but it's good to send an intro letter first, making an appointment to visit the person who might hire you. Take info on your business and pricing. That helps too.
