Paul Gambs-Pacific Documents

Paul are you still in business? I have sent you numerous emails, left voice mails at the office and on your cell phone. You were going to pay me several times including last Friday after you received your wire. You did not pay! Now you say you are waiting for a check??? Invoices are outstanding since June 2011. I did the job and fronted you on gas, paper, toner, customer service, time, etc. I expected more from you!

Re: Did you check them out BEFORE you took the closing?

Yes, I have worked for Paul for the last 4 years so I am very confused. He has always been slow but never this slow. He has always answered my calls but now he will not answer my calls or respond to my emails. I am currently working on the Small Claim paperwork and will file tomorrow for my protection since he is refusing to communicate. I hate airing out in public places.

seems you have now fallen in line with the lot...so sorry...

having to do that extra paperwork is a pain and hassle, and you shouldn't have to be chasing him or anyone down for payment!

You are correct and I totally agree with you. I am on the telephone with one of his major accounts. I work hard for my money and I will not stop until I am paid.

Sorry this happened to you, Jacqueline.

Did you check him out here on SC or search before doing the job?

Paul Gambs! What a creep!. Owes me $500..gave me a crying story not to be calling his vendors or he will loose his lively hood atfer 20yrs...sob,sob, sob..sz will pay me in Sept.
Folks keep calling his vendors untill they drop him. I know I do. I still have his $300 Hot check that he bounced will turn it to the Hot check dept in CA when i find the time.
Also if he owes you money he'll have to send you a 1099 or he'll have to eat the tax. I intend to
file a complaint with the IRS... Also claims to be an LLC... I couldn't fine his LLC registered..IRS will find that interesting... Also have other things simmering on him, just don't have all the time to do it all at once.
This guy is pathatic...the type that would kneel down to you and start crying for mercy.

Can we boycott Pacific Docs?

I cannot get money out of them either. I have only taken jobs from them when it is really slow, and then I regret it (large package, surprise fax-backs or something). But now they are not paying as well. They call and beg "pretty-please take this job? Please-please-please?" I tell them they have not paid me for a while and they owe me a lot of money. They act shocked! SHOCKED! That I have not been paid. "Have you been sending in your inovices?" Of course.

So what if everyone said, "I am not taking your jobs any more because you are not paying". I know price fixing is a crime, but is this allowed? I guess if no one works, then they go out of business and no one gets paid. Hmmmm. Maybe I better get them served before they yank all the money out of the bank.

***So what if everyone said, "I am not taking your jobs any more because you are not paying"***

Hey, CJ, here's a heads up for you: Everybody on NotRot with any sense -- that's everybody but knuckleheads like you – already is boycotting Pacific Docs and Paul Gambs.

The sheer chutzpah of someone who, in the face of years of complaints on NotRot about PG&PD, would repeatedly take assignments from Gambs, repeatedly experience problems, then come to this forum and propose a boycott, is mind-numbing. Did you by any chance school my last ex-wife’s lawyer in the art of effrontery?

Do you retain sufficient intellectual capacity to realize it is signing agents of your ilk that keep Paul Gambs and his ilk in business? Sure, start your boycott; there’ll always be a CJ to undermine it.

Re: Can we boycott Pacific Docs?

Hi Hugh,

I don't mean to act like an ignoramus. Maybe I am just ignorant. I am glad someone posted something about Pacific docs. I know it is wrong for price-fixing, and I didn't want to get my head bit off for suggestting a boycott if that was wrong too. I am happy to never work for them again.

Until I saw this thread, I was unaware that I was the only one getting the runaround from Pacific Docs. I saw from this post that others are planning on suing them. So what I was trying to say was this, "Instead of anyone else giving them the benifit of the doubt (like stupid me), the jury is in: EVERYONE stop working for them. Whatever they promise you fee-wise, you are not going to see a dime of it. You are working for free".

I have worked for them for years, and they have met my fee and have paid me, so I was not catching on when things started changing: later and later checks, my having to call them about shorting me on jobs, promising the check is in the mail and me foolishly believing them.

They still call me and I have been telling them I will not work for them until they pay me. Now that I know what is going on (thanks to NR), I will tell them the word is out on them and everyone is boycotting them.

I am grateful for the sharing of information on this or I would still be in the dark.
