  Professional Settlement Services
BEWARE! The most unprofessional signing company I have EVER worked for! They hired another notary to do a signing they contracted with me to do because they called me 14 times while I was in a closing to see if I had printed the docs. (closing at 6:00pm called at 4:49). I talked to their office yesterday and told them that I was printing the docs and did I use the password they emailed to me. I talked to a Jake Thompson and let him know I was printing the docs. So today because I was conducting business they hired another notary. Probably because they were paying me more than what they originally wanted to pay a notary. So now they are telling me they will not even pay the print fee. I have never been treated this way in 9 years of being a signing agent. This gives a new meaning to the word "professional"!!
PS They are out of CA and I was not able to locate in signing central, on the internet or their confirmation does not have an address on it.

TN is not an attorney state.

Paula, your name has GA after it, causing us to think you're in GA not TN.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with them. I'm by no means an expert, having only worked with them for less than a year, but I have always found them to be very professional. They always seem to have their act together and they pay very well and within a short period of time after the closing. In fact I did one today, after having to turn several down this week because of scheduling. I have noticed on the last one or two that the docs have come later than is usual, but end of month tends to do that.
Do you have a strict "no answering the phone during closings" rule? I do as well, but once I see someone is repeatedly trying to reach me, I might make an exception after apologizing to the borrowers for the interruption. Just my thoughts, for what they are worth...

BTW, PSS has dropped their fees considerably......
I asked them why. They said that the title company reduced their fees to them.
Although I do like them, until they up their fees again, I will only accept (and only if I am available) last minute closings since they will pay considerably more for those.
