Statement and confirmation of statement validity.
Okay, I'm in California 1 Deed of Trust:
4 Signers: All 4 signers are identified with a California Driver's License 4 Entries on Journal
I do not see any unlawful reason that I cannot use 1 Notarial certificate with the names of the 4 signers that appeared before me, proving on the basis of satisfactory evidence that they are who are named in the document. All 4 signers will be appearing before me at the same time with a CA Driver's License so I can identify each signer.
Please give me some feedback. James - if you are on this site, please comment.
Thank you, Stephanie ...sorry for any typos

Sounds Okay to me......so far. Question, Does the Deed of trust have all four names on the same page? If so, then yes.
I'm sure you'd have to modify the notarial Certificate to accommodate all of the names.

DOT has all 4 names - Attorney modifying acknowledgement...
I have a request to complete 50 Deeds of Trust in the same manner. Thank you James

Fifty deeds for the same four people, no problem. Fifty deeds for 200 people (4 X 50) could be a problem if they all show up at the same time to sign your journal. Hehe!

200 entries including fingerprints in your journal
That will eat up a lot of pages.

True John, but I do always follow CA notary Law.....
The Modern Journal of Nortarial Events that I purchased from this site will make it a little easier. All of the Signers know that I DO NOT take shortcuts so they plan on meeting with me for a long time.

You can create the notarial certificates in a Word doc, type everything and then print the 50 copies. Print 5 extra copies"just in case". Then all that is need on the certs is your signature and stamp - that parts easy.
The way I save time multiple journal entries is to enter the signers names for EVERY notarial act. BUT....I only complete the redundant info (i.e. address, date/time/fee of act, ID info, etc.) ONCE. Later, I go back and fill in the redundant info. For example, if I were notarizing 10 docs for Jane Marie Doe, the entries would look like this:
1st entry: Jane Marie Doe 1234 Main St Supertown, USA 98765
Date: 9/14/11 Time: 3:00 pm Fee: $10
ID Info: <whatever it is>
Type of doc: <whatever it is> Check box for type of notarial act: Ack
Entries 2 thru 10 would only have Jane's name, type of doc, type of notarial act. Jane would provide a signature for the 10 notarial acts. The redundant info (i.e. address, date/time/fee, ID) gets filled in later. You could do the same with your 200 journal entries.
