Thanks NotRot - you saved me a headache
Accepted an assignment after asking them many questions. At the time I didn't have the time to check them out here. Fortunately it is not until Monday. After checking SC I am now going to decline the assignment. Whew!!!

Re: Final Link and
they called twice after I turned them down. Once to ask if I would accept PayPal and then to tell me that in the future they would prepay me, ie., send a check on Monday for Tues signing. Like I would believe that it wouldn't bounce!

Final Link - Boo!
I did the exact same thing several months ago with them. I took the job and then quickly looked them up on SC. They had the worst rating I've ever seen. It was horrifying to even look at. Like SOX. I immediately called him back and returned the job. Instead of obfuscatng, saying I didn't realize I had a scheduling conflict or some polite lie like that, I just flat out said you have the worst rating I've ever seen and I can't possibly work with you. He just sorta grunted and hung up.
About an hour later, I got the same job from a reputable SS! Hopefully because he had to turn it back, saying he couldn't find a notary....

Great work Goldgirl!

Congratulations! If more of us would stick to our guns and tell these losers where to go, this would help put them out of business. You still got the job, and the crook won't be able to steal your pay! If the word gets out that no one will work for them, they won't get many assignments.
