Who says stimulus isn't working?

THE STIMULUS AT WORK!
Some have said that the stimulus hasn't saved any jobs,
but here is a case where at least one job was saved

Take for instance Oregon State University Athletic Director
Bob DeCarolis.

Now Mr. DeCarolis was considering firing their
Basketball Coach.......
Craig Robinson

after an
8 -11 start (2-5) in the Pac 10 conference).
When word reached Washington ,
Undersecretary of Education
Martha Kanter

was dispatched to Corvallis with $17 million
in stimulus money for the university.
Thankfully, Craig Robinson's job is
safe for another year

Now comes the interesting part of our story....
For those of you unfamiliar with
Coach Robinson,.

he just so happens to be the brother in law
of none other than our country's
beloved President,

NOW YOUR CATCHING ON......
that's right he is the brother of
Michelle Obama!

But hey, can't we all come to the conclusion
that Coach Robinson's job security
was all just a coincidence?
I'm sure of it .... Aren't You?
Thank Goodness For The Stimulus!!!
But $17 million for one job? I wonder what mine is worth?
If this doesn't anger you, nothing will ...
Remember to vote this fall!!!

Re: This should be in JP

She knew that.

CorpJen is just one more in a long line of rightwingers who believe that the posting rules for the forum don't apply to them. If you pay attention, the only ones who ever deliberately post political stuff here are Republicans, Tea Baggers and conservatives. CorpJen is not only a rabid, frothing-at-the-mouth Tea Bagger, she believes the president was born in Kenya, is Muslim, and probably has a Christian child every morning on toast for breakfast.

Re: This should be in JP

And you have never posted here by mistake?

Msg #391023 or Msg #385752 come to mind.

There are others too. Then you have to take a huge step and put in your second paragraph each and every time. I think you have that set as a macro, then just change the name, so that your political views are apparent and you get your 2 cents in while appearing that senility overtook your reason for the moment.

BTW: when do you think that you are going to step up to the plate and apologize to Lola Killackey for your untoward venomous attack? Msg #397596

Re: Disagree, doesn't belong in JP - or anywhere else...

Thanks for setting the record straight, but it shouldn't have been posted here (or anywhere else, since it isn't even true) in the first place.

I believe we are all entitled to our opinions and beliefs, but I'm seeing more and more emails flying my way that have clearly been written to enflame emotions and promote a specific agenda. Most, at best, are distortions of a situation, and at worst, are outright lies. I don't see how this does anything to help our national dialogue. I think we'd all be better off if we spent more time trying to search out facts and real information - and even challenging our own assumptions - rather than just focusing on "stuff" that seems to support our personal beliefs whether or not is has any basis in fact.

In the meantime, the least we can do is keep that junk off *this* forum! I'm glad to see that there's been a consensus on that concept from all sides of the political forum here. Smile If we can at least agree on that much, there's hope for us all yet!! Smile

Don't fret too much about Corpjen

In JPol, she is known for posting unverified -- and consistently false -- Internet manure. Even the more conservative posters in JPol, people who are poles away from my political inclinations, take her to task for the junk she posts there.

"Loose cannon" doesn't even begin to describe Corpjen, because the term would indicate that at some point she was anchored to something. She may have been anchored to something at some point in the distant past, but it certainly wasn't reality.
