Company called me two times in a week wanting me to accept a 25.00 22 page loan mod.. What do you think about this NOT ROT fam?

The modification I did yesterday had 8 signatures to notarize. $25 is crazy.

I've done them at $20 (straight notarization at $5 each) ...
This business model does NOT work for everyone.
Hiring company give me borrowers' names, address and contact telephone number and date documents need to be signed. I call borrowers to schedule a time; they bring lender and personal copy with them, including prepared return shipping envelope. (They have already spoken with lender's representative about any questions they might have, so no questions at the table). I act as a notary public.
The only addition to my services, which I do not charge for: I fax 2 pages to hiring company/lender and drop the original package at FedEx. NOTE: The faxing doesn't take long, does not increase my monthly phone service bill, and I am sending the pages from my home office. Since these are evening appointments, I am almost always at FedEx the next day anyway.

Are you traveling to them, or are they coming to you?
No way I'd do it for this if it included any travel on my part. (Last few mods I have had didn't have any notarizations in them by the way....)
