send/receive Payment Via cell # or email address
Looks like paypal may have competition. I just received an offer from B of A stating just that.
" New! You may now make transfers to another person at Bank of America or Wells Fargo N.A. using a recipient's email address or mobile number on the Inside the Bank tab. A fee may apply when you use this new service. "
  Anyone else see this?

I was thinking it could work out pretty good for us requesting some type of advance payment OR partial payment from those requesting our services.
We would not have to slam the door on some of these low pay, slow pay SS if they would at least pay something up front. A refusal to do so would certainly raise a flag for sure. You extend credit to good paying customers is what everyone else does. Otherwise, it's the lay away plan. LOL

A refusal to do what James, please clarify. Would you really be OK with a partial payment up front? What's to prevent them from not paying the rest owed or stringing you along for months to collect it? Forget cutting them a break and keeping them in business. Let the loser SS companies find it hard to get their assignments filled and they will eventually go out of business sooner rather than later. Yes, you should slam the door and hard.

Oh my...you ladies are some tuff cookies, LOL.
SheilaSJCA...A refusal to accommodate a partial payment in advance. If it's their way or the highway then that can work both ways...Slam! It's not cutting them a break, it's assuring you won't be left empty handed.....It's done to re-establish credit worthiness. We have got to start thinking outside the box before the box is replaced with plastic.

"We would not have to slam the door on some of these low pay, slow pay SS if they would at least pay something up front".
This is the phrase that got us. Low pay, slow pay SS should not be kept in business no matter what, even if they pay you up front.

back on topic for what is is worth. Chase too alllows you to
send funds to other Chase customers using Chase's mobile app or the internet banking app. Also several banks including Chase, as well as BofA allow you to deposit checks using your phone too. ( I have tried it, but it adds an extra day delay in funds access).

Considering how BofA has been handling things, I don't know
that I'd trust them on that one! LOL With smart phones there are more & more mobile banking apps. I'm just now sure how secure any of that may be.
