Good afternoon all!

Just wanted to make a quick note to everyone on the US Title issues. RESPA closings is new to us and our closing system is not set up to keep track of these. If you have an outstanding invoice, please email to [e-mail address] or fax to 865-670-7661. Invoices will be paid and we now have a system to keep track of invoices. Our sincerest apologies to anyone that has been missed.

On the message about the closing from 3/25 being cancelled, we have had some lenders "place" orders with more than one company so they can try to get the absolute "lowest" fees possible, so it could be lender scheduled the closing with us but then cancelled with us and let the other company close the loan. Please check the ROD website on that closing, if it didn't have the Return To: United States Title Corporation stamp on there then we did not close it. If it did, then I apologize for any inconvenience caused to you and any loss of income to you.

I wasn't working here during that time frame, so I truly can't tell you why this happened if that is the case.....but as a company (and a notary that does local TN closings for other title companies/lenders) I and the others employed here do not EVER want to cause someone to lose the opportunity to earn money. In this economy we try to be more than fair with our payment compensation to notaries for the time, printing, and closing. I know a lot of signing agencies that only want to pay $50-$75 for refi closings, then your lucky to see payment within 60 days. We offer our notaries a standard fee of $75-$100 for RESPA, then an additional $125 for the refi closing (both paid at funding). We do try to be fair because we know how this works on a notary stand point.

Again, our "closing" system did not have a way to keep track of the RESPA signings, we do now have a system in place so that RESPA payments should not take longer than 45 days.

If anyone needs anything or has a question at all, please feel free to contact me at [e-mail address].

Thanks,
Missy Buckner

Hi Al,

Again, we have sent you a 2nd check this week and cancelled/stop payment on check issued to you last week. We apologize again for the delay, our system was set up for closings and we had no system in place to keep track of RESPA signings since those don't fund....we now have a system in place that it should take no longer than 45 days for payment to be sent on RESPA signing unless it closes sooner than that, then it is paid at funding.

I know you picked this up from one of our "regular" closers and I'm sure he can verify to you we are very good about making payments to our closers.

If you need anything further, please feel free to contact me, [e-mail address].

back in September I posted a question about getting paid by US Title.
I was subsequently paid.
Today I received a followup call about my late payment, making sure I had been paid and an apology from the company.
They explained some hard times that lead to late payments and stated that all is well now.
I told them I would definitely like to work with them in the future.
A personal call like this says a lot about the company.
Mike
