Against my better judgement, I accepted a Flagstar eSign
It appears they have made some changes to the Fiserv website since the last time I did one of these (about 2 years ago). Still not as user friendly as the Gemstone website, but not as bad as I remembered.
I would do more of these if called. Of course, I will not discount from my normal fee just because I am printing less. I have considered asking for more than I usually charge since these may take a little more time than a regular paper signing. They are paying for my time and expertise and I will not undervalue myself.
Funny, I closed another Flagstar loan yesterday afternoon and it was a regular paper signing. I wonder who determines which method is used for the closing?

Still PITA
I get knocked out of there system at least two three times during the signing. For something that should be quicker seems to take longer with e-signings.
I was doing two or so a month, but as of the first all my flagstars are on paper now.

Re: Still PITA
I agree, they do take longer than they should.
At least the next document shows up automatically as each document is signed. I did have an issue with the document showing as a blank screen a couple of times. That problem was solved by clicking on the "Closing Room" link and then clicking on the document name.
It took a long time to print or download the signed docs once we were finished.

I always charge more for e-signings.
Besides providing the usual signing supplies, time and knowledge, must provide additional expertise and equipment (laptop and aircard).

Sometimes no matter what you charge, these Flagstar eSigns are not worth it! Especially if signal is week...time consuming and logistically user unfriendly, and the client gets mad and thinks you're the bimbo, not the process. I don't do them during monthend frenzy.

For this particular signing I knew I would not have a problem getting a signal as the home was just 4 miles from me. That is something I consider when accepting these assignments and it has been an issue in the past when the signing location is in a sparsely populated area.
The signer actually recognized me when I arrived. He said I did his last refi 4 or 5 years ago. He was not very tech savvy and did not own a home computer but understood the process. I would think twice about accepting an eSigning at EOM.

Always bump up your price for ESigns especially with Flagstar they take too long to do and on top of that paying for your wireless!

Never had a problem with Flagstar
I've done many eSignings for them and never had a problem. Just so you know there is an incompatibility problem with Amtrust (NYCB)/Gemstone. They are having problems with IE 8 and Adobe 10, so make sure that you have the latest downloads from both MS and Adobe. Both Flagstar and Gemstone are not compatible with Firefox or Apple browsers. I'll take all the eSignings I can get.
