This is a change in how things are being handled. I talked

with Kris Killinger of KC Signing. Signings will now be offered directly to the notary from the tc, direct payments, etc., cutting out the ss as middle-man. The offers I've received were for the same tc's I'd worked with through him. I don't see any problem with it. :-)

So these guys are going to get Title Companies to PAY them to let the Title Companies call the notaries directly, schedule the closing, follow up, correct any problems, and pay the notaries with all the accounting and paperwork involved….Oh I forgot …Just why will Title pay them?.. For a list of notaries? Yup! Sounds like a great concept …Maybe they can get the notaries to pay them to be on the LIST too?

What's the beef here? It's a database to allow the tc's to

call notaries directly. Isn't that what all the listing sites do?

That their ‘new special wonderful’ way of doing business ain’t so new, special or wonderful. Just the same ol’… sign up with us sucker. IF they lie about their motives in front what do you thing will happen if you ever had a grievance with them? Why should a title company that already has a data base of notaries, and that does their own scheduling, etc. etc. pay these guys for a list of the same notaries? Because “their” notaries are better, they are “certified”…they took (paid for) a course? Yeah..right ask a scheduler/escrow officer that has used a particular notary in a particular area for years, with no problems…to PAY to go to a ‘different’ notary…because they are ‘certified’ by some promoter.
I think you should sign up with them now, take their course, become a paid member…then let us know how you handle all that increased business.JMO

LES_Co-you have an awfully powerful opinion for someone who doesn't even use the Direct Closers company. Are you a SS? That is the only reason I can't think of that would cause you to come across so emotional. Buyer's Title hired me Mar 27th, the whole order went through Direct Closers. I got a check on Apr 4th from Buyer's directly. Direct Closers's order management is pretty sleek. Does it really matter what compels the TCs to use this new company or if they are paying them anything? I haven't given them any money and I got business through them.

Let’s just say I’m suspect. And yes, I have not signed up with or ever used Direct Closers. And no, I’m not a SS. I will say that in the past several years I have seen many “New and Different” SS’s and notary sites come and go. Some may just marketing your info, some may have good intentions. I would guess that to a new title company, or to one that just got a lender doing interstate business, Direct Closers may be able to sell the convenience of going to their site, finding a notary, PAYING for that privilege, and then doing the rest themselves. Me, I wouldn’t. If I were going to do this kind of interstate business, and since it would be FREE to me, I’d use an older established SS with a good reputation. Or I’d pay for the software and notary data bases that are available (for very little money) and do it myself. I see nothing “new different, or better” about what Direct Closers offers. And I hope I’m wrong, but from what I see what they offer is less convenient, and costs more that what I can now get from others, so I just doubt if they will be around very long. And if they do fold, as many others have, SOMEONE is going to be left owed money. If you like what they do I suggest you sign right up. I wish you and them good luck!

I also received an email from them? How successful are they in getting business? It is an interesting concept.

I spoke with a rep today. They launched in test mode at the beginning of March, unless I heard that wrong and it was at the beginning of April. They're working with 8 title companies, trying to work out all of the software glitches and other problems, before having a grand opening marketing campaign. I think I'll try it, and hope it works. Too much of the steps and ridiculous instructions of signing services just get to be too bothersome and annoying.

I am a grown up, please treat me like one. I know how to dress for a signing, I know how to behave, and I know how do to my job.

Thanks,
