Go into "devices and printers" and the into the p2015 icon. Click on "properties" and make certain that the 3rd tray is installed and also select the size paper you have in the tray. You may have to uninstall the printer from the system and then reinstall it. It is also better to go into the HP site and install the drivers right from the site .Hope this helps. I also have a 2015 and it hasn'r been the best printer I've ever had. It seems to occasionally lose it's settings and has to be reinstalled.

You don't mention what operating sytem you are using. Windows 7 doesn't support every printer, so it may be a driver incompatibility/problem.

Re: You don't say if it has ever printed from the
thrid tray, or if this is a new printer you are setting up. In looking at HPs site, it appears that the configuration has to be done through the Toolbox. Have you done that?

Have you looked at the HP site where it talks about configuring the tray through the Toolbox?

If the printer is running that slow make certain that the pcl5 drivers are loaded and you are using them. Sometimes the pcl6 drivers are loaded and with what we print, they seem to make the printer run slower.
