I love niche entrepreneurs
PRODUCE TRUCK got four bags of produce yesterday from "Produce on Wheels."
Every time this guy pulls into a parking lot, people want to get up close and see what he's got on the truck. He'll bring the truck to an office or home for a $20 purchase.

I know this is not "notary" stuff, but it's about niche businesses...seeing a need and filling it.
I hate going to the grocery store. Many working women feel that way. My time is worth a lot.
I'll be calling this man once a week to roll his fruit and veggie truck to my office door and I'll make a purchase. Pick up some grilled chicken or a sandwich and a single gal has food for three days.
CURB SERVICE CAR DETAILING Down the street from me is a guy who does nothing but pick up ladies' cars and detail or wash/wax them. He will ride with me to work and pick me up afterwards. I love that guy...he makes my Explorer look like a brand new one. I met him and his wife when I did their refi a long time ago, then a second time; I found out he was just down the street from me and we've been buddies since.
Several years ago a mail man that came to my then employment (law office) told me that on his day off he did the same thing. He easily made $250/day on his day off...in the early 90's.
The niches are out there. Find a need. Fill it.

The Bathroom Marketing Avon Lady
In an office building in which I worked before my office moved, every other day a lady made a trip through the building and placed Avon catalogs in the ladies' bathrooms--six of them. One catalog per stall. Like clockwork, she showed up each week and delivered a ton of Avon.
Ok...now, I will go back into my quiet place.

in 2001, around the event of 911, I worked for a huge investment management company in downtown LA.
Wells Fargo across the street did not have a notary in their major branch. Since I am a Wells Fargo customer for 27 years, I asked if I could sit in the lobby and perform notaries several times a week from 12 to 1pm.
I did very well. Lots of people have things to be notarized but not time to hunt a notary down.
Recently a customer asked, what do I do with all these old files from previous refi's. I've been hired by clients to "purge documents" in their home office file cabinets.
Key is flexibility, and when you foster confidence, respect, care and efficiency in the signing event, you're likely to get hired to do the job.
