Listen carefully when they call.
I accepted a signing for Highland IL this evening and it is actually Highland Park, IL. That is 300 miles from me. What should my fee be? LOL I told her I could still do it if she booked a flight and hotel for me. LOL

Friends, I have danced this dance before. When I was asked to close in Highland today[the call was earlier in the week] I asked the nice people from out-of-state for the Zipcode. They said 60035, I knew it was really Highlalnd Park and I said yes.

That has happened to me too.......Elmwood, IL when they meant Elmwood Park, IL (I'll take the Elmwood Park one.......less than 5 miles away from me....lol).
Also be careful when schedulers give you a full address, naming streets, and they speak with a foreign accent or heavy dialect. One time, I was on the road when a company called about a closing on Algonquin Road. I thought he meant Algonquin Road in Des Plaines, IL or somewhere like that. Turns out it was in Algonquin, IL. Turned that bad boy back since I do not cover Algonquin, IL or that area.
