North Coast Settlement, Westlake Ohio
My letter for payment was returned as "undeliverable" though the address is correct. I do hope that the bums have gone outof business but I still want my 100 bucks. Yes, I know that I should have used the orange button before accepting assignment, but sometimes I accept while driving etc. First time to get burned - grrrr. Does anyone have any other names, addresses, phone #'s for them? Many thanks.

Yes, we've all accepted signings while driving. But the key is to review their record ***before you print docs*** - then if the reviews show that they are deadbeats, call and give the job back. You have no obligation whatsoever to complete signings for crooks (non-payers).

I don't know that I have ever seen another company...
...with NOTHING but one-star ratings. If there ever was an assignment that should have been turned back and the company given the explicit reason for doing so, it's this one.

"Slow to pay, bounces checks" would have stopped me!
Then all the other comments bad as well - Even IF I had already printed, when I discovered this, I would have aborted this one. Gas just too expensive to consider loss.

Chalk it up to experience. Experience is what you get when you don't get paid. Too far away to do any real effective collection seeking.
Turn your eye toward better companies, and make it a practice to check these companies out before you print and go to the signing.
I haven't had t chase anyone in five years, thank God.

I accepted an assignment for a reverse mortgage last week while driving, fortunately I was on my way home from another signing. As soon as I got home I checked my email, and the confirmation for the reverse mortgage assignment had already been emailed. I looked the company up on NR, the ratings were all 1 star, with horrible comments about non-payments. I immediately called the company back and told them I couldn't do the signing. I also responded to the email confirmation that I would not be completing the assignment. I am so thankful that others have taken the time to share their experiences with these signing companies. I have gotten into the habit of sharing mine too so others can continue to benefit.

Re: North Coast Settlement, aka Cleveland Home Title ...?
I googled the phone # & up-popped a company called Cleveland Home Title with the same address & phone number in Westlake Ohio. They have a web page as well as a face-book page; maybe you could ask for payment on their facebook entry. Admin contact is Mr. Bill Craighead. Hope this helps.

I got defrauded by them too.
I'm not sure why I didn't check them out on here. Ugh...it was last year. Lesson learned (I hope!)
