Notary Direct Signing Agents

Did anyone else get this?

March 29th, 2012

To: Notary Direct Signing Agents

Re: Notary Fees

Dear Signing Agent,

I want to thank you for your continued support in assuring the success of Notary Direct. We value your services and appreciate the partnership developed throughout the years. Unfortunately, with the economic turmoil faced by all, we have been forced to cut our costs to our clients in order to remain competitive.

Although the majority of us felt the crunch back in 2007-08, we continued to pay our notaries premium amounts to conduct each of our closings. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to do so and have been forced to implement a pay cap for services rendered for all local closings within your area. Effective April 15th, 2012- Fee Table:

Notary States:

Single Set of Loan Documents (Over Night): $50.00

Single Set of Loan Documents (Email): $70.00

Additional Sets Signing Simultaneously: $30 + Print Fee (If Applicable) $20 = $50.00

Trip Fee/No-Sign: $30 + Print Fee (If Applicable) $20 = $50.00

Print Fee Only (No Trip Made): $20.00

We understand this may cause some hardship, and for that… we truly do apologize. We are hopeful that you will take into consideration the many years of service, our consistent pay schedule, and a staff willing to go above and beyond to protect your best interests and will choose to remain a part of our network.

Please send an email to: [e-mail address] advising whether you have elected to accept or decline. If you choose to decline, please let us know what your fee would be and we will update your records to reflect the most current information. Those that choose to accept our fees will be listed as a preferred notary within our network for your area.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate in contacting either me or one of our scheduling team members.

Here we go! Yep, so they can remain competitive. Like lobsters in a barrel, crawling to the top, pushing other lobsters down so they can stay on top.

This company will get my SMOOTH OPERATOR ring tone so I won't be picking up their miserable offers verbally, and they probably won't leave voice mail. Just push along to find a sap to sign their orders.

Dear Notary Direct…Thank you for the information. Please be advised that I will happily accept any closings you may assign to me within a 20 mile radius at the fees quoted in your correspondence. I have only one requirement; that is that I be named on the HUD with my ‘remote closing’ fee be fully delineated, and that the borrower pays ONLY that charge specified for my service.

This just shows how these type of business uses the Walmart method of getting clients. You ONLY compete on price. I'll compete on customer service. Im not a walmart signing agent. Alot of companies dont know how to run a business. As much as I analyze a HUD statement, fees arent going down. A great business faced with cut backs or lost of business from a contract should remind the customer or client how great their service is. Companies dont give up great service on the unknown. maybe they need to revamp their processes and focus on providing great service and not focus on price.

You dont see Coach reducing prices on their bags or using less quality materials. IJS

Last time I checked they had more than a million dollars income with 4 employees and they still can pay a decent fee? I would do them at that price but at no more than 70 pages and no traveling, yeah I am dreaming.

I did receive that.....in my closing package last week from Notary Direct. I don't have a problem with it because 99% of the closings I take are less than 10 minutes from my house, and I was very happy to accept their fee of $75.00 for the closing they sent to me. The package was easy, the closing went very smoothly, there was no hand holding, and I am hoping they call me again.

I responded to this email (see below) & yes, I gave my full name, phone #, and email to Nations Direct. I disagree with your point of view, Pegit MN. Why would you want to keep bottom feeders in business is beyond me. Just my two cents.

I am appalled by this email. Please take me off any of your call lists. You should be ashamed of yourselves! We the signing agents are bearing the burden of the rising costs, not you. You are only making more profit off of us and many people would call you crooks. How do you sleep at night? Going forward, any emails from this company will go directly to SPAM. May this come back & bite you right in the ___________. I am disgusted by your sheer greed!

Notary Direct is garbage. We're not their employees.

They will never set my rate.

Re: Notary Direct is garbage. We're not their employees.

With gas prices, paper cost sky rocketing, how can anyone print 2 packages for a lender, and make money on $70.00? Then most they want fax backs on top for free! Cash closing pay more than that, and you are in and out in 10 minutes.
Sad we cannot all stick together and stand our ground, but you always have the ones who accept this fee.
