So frustrating. Just venting.

On again, off again, on again signing. While it was off, I accepted another signing at same time. I offered a 8pm time which they happily accepted. There is not a valid phone # for borrower and I call and ask for one. They don't have one. SS wants me to just go. The excuse they told me is that by the time they get one from title, it would be time for the signing. Bull. I said I don't feel comfortable going to someone's house at 8:00 at night without talking to them first. I told them I need to be sure they have valid ID. They didn't care. They are finding someone else. Fine with me.

I wouldn't be so aggravated except Sat when I called borrowers for my 9am today, they were not prepared or knew that they had to bring money to close. WHEN are those days going to be over? It finally happened at noon, BUT it sure screwed up my day. I have such little respect for LO's and it just burns me that they do this to the borrowers. I can tell you that if it ever happened to me, they can kiss that loan good bye. I won't put up with it. Tell me upfront, don't try and push it through. Gripes me to no end.
OK, I'm done. Thanks

Linda they get away with this

because the borrowers are generally cutting their payments, their interest rates and sometimes even the duration of the loan so they put up with these shenagigans (sp) because it is in their best interest. And we know they think we are the lowest of the low because all we do is sign and stamp a few documents and get $XX - XXX. And if for some reason the loan doesn't fund it's because the notary screwed up. Just part of the business we've chosen to be in so try and let it roll off your back like water off a duck. We know our value (and most of the borrowers do too if we do our job right).

My opinion. The L O sets the appointment for the LO's convenience, not the signers.
LO wants to make tee time.

Really??

When was the last time the LO showed up at one of your local signings? They are few and far between. However, most of the signings I do, the LO is far away.
When I was an LO, I always showed up at the closing.
