Square Vs Intuit?

I have Square and I tried to swipe a client's credit card into Square and it said the " the server was done and couldn't connect."

I haven't had this very long ( a few weeks) and haven't had a problem ( I also tried to use the keyboard to hand implement his credit card information) and that didn't work.

Is this an ongoing problem with Square or just a glitch today?

I tried my credit care both at the notary assignment and mine also didn't work. Tried my credit card tonight and it worked fine.

My question is: Square or Intuit, which is better?

He said we would mail me a check, but he was uncomfortable and asking that since I had swiped his card 4-5 times was he going to be charged? I assured him he wasn't but it wasn't a good situation.
Any impute/suggestions/etc would be appreciated

I've been using Square for a few months, frequently and successfully.
I especially like the quickness of deposits.
Other CC systems I've used made me wait 72+ hours for payment, Square is daily.
(I've never used Intuit's service).
Must've been a glitch, as I've not had similar situtation re: server down.

Joan, I've used Square for over a year, and have not experienced that problem. However, it reminds me of when stores used to use the telephone lines to transmit credit card info. Remember that? Oftentimes the lines would be busy and you had to wait. I'm assuming because of the popularity Square has, that it was a similar situation at the time you tried the cards.

I would not give up on it yet. As far as your customer, hope he sends the check ;-}

I believe that it depends on the phone you are using.
Square as of last October was not available on a blackberry.

Also, Unknown to me at the time, but this past January I rec'd a 1099K which now made the sales
from usin g the device taxable.
Not very happy at that.
Walter

Used Square for the last couple of months... did about 10 transactions and never a problem. Very fast deposit to my bank account, no more than 48 hours.
