Think Twice Before Accepting Work From Finishline

The don't pay on time and make broken promises to send a check.....

Finishline is a retail store that sells athletic shoes and other sports apparel.

If you are not referring to the retail store, then it's important to include other identifying info such as address or at least the city and state, phone, website, contact person, etc. - something that differentiates the Finishline you're speaking of from any other Finishline.

Well i guess if we all sold tennis shoes that is exactly what she would have meant. Starting to really wonder why they have forums, when most people just rip on people who ask any questions on here.

I should actually rephrase that for this instance, People tend to rip on people who either ask questions or even make a comment. She was simply saying be careful when accepting jobs from finishline.. I highly doubt a tennis shoe store is going to give you a call to sign loan docs. come on now for real.

Thanks for the support... You know as a signing agent to get stiffed on a double signing can really get you PO ed. Finishline had a good rep years ago, not anymore. Never again

It's unfortunate that you all failed to see...

...the point of my post. Therefore, I'll spell it out for you.

It's helpful to give as much information about a company that you have to set it apart from another company with the same name. There's the Finishline you speak of (non-payers) and possibly a Finishline in another state with a 5 star rating. That has been the case with other SSs. How do your fellow notaries know which SS to accept loan signings from and which one to assign the silent ringtone to? We can't unless there is distinguishing info (i.e. address, phone, website, contact person, etc.).

The company name alone is of no use unless very unique (i.e. Rupert Mubhedj's Doc Service) and there aren't too many very unique company names these days.

I see that I'm in the minority here...

Lisa was trying to point out the the more accurate information we have, the better opportunity that we have to peg the bad boys.

Grace Gully is an esteemed member of this board and I have much respect for her and I know that Lisa does, as well.

Please folks, do not think that every remark is meant to be ugly. I don't recall Lisa being ugly; she's just very precise.

However, far be it for me to tell anyone how to think about things...that's just my little bit of input.

And for those who jumped right in to say "how rude", I feel that they were being rude. This is business and our business is not about "feelings".

Many times one states facts, just the facts, and gets slammed. This is one of them - IMHO. Learn to be precise and leave the "feelings" out of it. I get the impression that many here went to school when my grandkids did, when it was all about not hurting another's feelings, no grades, no scoring of performance; whatever it took to make the kids 'feel good'. Everyone passed, no one failed. No sports contests with clear winners - everyone was a winner. Now they are in for the biggest let-down as the world does not conform to those parameters.

I am not for bullying, not by any stretch of the imagination, but the business world is not a Jaquie Larson greeting card, full of flowers and butterflies.
