Why is my printer printing so slow?
I had three signing job downloads today and both two of them are printing 1 page every 20 seconds, almost as if it is thinking about printing. Really driving me nuts. The other print job went really quickly. Can anybody please tell me why this is happening this way. These 2 slow jobs are coming from different companies but both VA loans

2 things I'd check/do
1st thing is to check printer settings for pdf files: If you've checked the box that says print as image, uncheck the box. Images take longer to print than text. 2nd thing (if #1-box NOT checked), is to unplug the printer for around 5 mins. and allow it to clear the memory. I'm not a techie, and hopefully someone that is will respond, but you might want to give these 2 simple fixes a shot first.

Check printer setup see if its going to a spoiler first or direct to printer. It's probably the way the docs were uploaded. I don't know that I would unplug the printer but I would reboot the computer and turn the printer off to see if it clears whatever is stuck. Same thing I guess. Hey Glen Strickler where are ya?

Thank you for the suggestions. Unfortunately I think it might have been the way the different companies uploaded the docs. Every now and then I run into this problem and it is usually when the docs are late and/or I have a long distance to travel. Oh well it's a new day and I am greatful to be working (even with slow docs).

Sometimes that Tittle co will scan the docs as Jpeg files instead of PDF. The printer will slow down for this. If you can print from word at a normal rate I would guess thats what happened

Sometimes it's just an old Adobe program sender is using
If all other suggestions do nothing...which I suspect because you said one printed OK and the next is like it's dying. There are a couple of companies using really old Adobe programs and there is diddley you can do except be patient. Sometimes printing 10-20 pages at a time works faster (or at least it gives you something to do while waiting for the last 20 pages to print).

Re: Sometimes it's just an old Adobe program sender is using
From my experience, and I am glad it doesn't often happen, it is how they scan and upload it at the title company. If everything else prints fine with your printer, and it is these files only, it is the package and how they scanned it in. Test printing on something else to see the speed.
