Why people gets very angry when they question

their dates on the documents. Yesterday I had an attorney that went ballistic when I told them that his dates on the documents were not clear enough. His "16" kept looking like "12" He threw the document back at me and on the following page he perforated the paper with the pen with anger.

I told him that it was not me been picky and that the lender wants clear dates. After an hour of him throwing papers back at me we end up been buddies, he told me that I had very good patience<<spell?

Did one a couple years ago..The Mrs name was spelled wrong on all docs and TC wanted her to correct and inital every page..She was furious..and kept pressing harder and harder on the pages..I kept telling her that the lender may not approve and she had harsh words..The last few pages she signed her name in huge letters and made holes in the docs..When I was finished I told TC what had transpired..It was accepted that way!

Some people! Thank goodness most are always nice!

Just did a closing where the signer read every document (speed reader, thank goodness). But he called the loan officer at least 6 times as he came across things he wanted explained better than I could. I.e., in the DOT, the standard form states that the borrower will occupy the property. He was refiing an investment property. He had no plans to live there. Ranted and raved at me, pulled the page saying he was going to cross through the paragraph. When the LO had an answer--that they would send him confirm that he would not be held accountable to occupying the property--he finally finished.

I kept telling him--I'm only the messenger in this case. I can tell you what some docs are for, but specifics, no.

I can understand the ire of the BO on this one. That is making a fraudulent statement in effect. I have had redraws because of this happening.

The DOT is a general document and states in #6 that the property is owner occupied. That is why you have a 1-4 family rider to negate that paragraph.
Hope this helps.

I have always put the date in for them unless title or lender specifically request the buyer does it.

I guess it really gets back to you can't please all of the

people... etc etc.
Tell them It's okay. If that lender has a problem they will send them back to resign. Some people you just can't argue with. Until they feel they are going to be inconvenienced, they are unreasonable.

How about letting him know that if he decides to throw one more thing, you're out of there. You actually put up with his antics for an hour? Whether or not you ended up "buddies", in his heart he knows you're a fool and knows he got away with it all. You are in control of the signng, not this rude, stupid person!
