Do many here do LinkedIn?

I thought, initially, it was a great concept, but find that it has devolved to pandering for votes, so to speak.

Illustration: this morning had an email asking me to recommend them - to endorse them on their profile. From someone I have no clue who they are, or even what they do. I did the Google search - there are 59 X's in the US, some dead, some in high school, some young, some old. Mostly female.

Just not the right reason(s) to endorse someone....that I don't even know what business they are in. I have basically abandoned my LinkedIn account as it appears that there are no parameters set up and anyone can do anything. I can't endorse this at all.

i have had a few title companies call me from my linkedin profile, but not much action. i don't bother with my much or use it as a social network at all.

Ive been having ppl endorse me on my profile and I have never talked nor worked with them. I dont endorse anyone unless I know them. But I do go on linkedin, albeit infrequently but its a great way to network. Just that I think that is where and why Im getting all these robo calls and network marketing calls. So annoying.

IMHO

Linkedin started as a great concept, but soon degenerated into just another facebook.

Like all previous posters, I, too, have a LinkedIn account. I also get notices of people endorsing me for all these various things. A lot of these endorsers I don't know, have never worked with, etc. I won't endorse someone I know nothing about.

It's a shame LI has evolved into just another social farce.

Seldom do I access any of my social media accounts. Just not how I want to waste my time.
