GPS dashboard mounts

In reference to the thread below about GPSs and mounts... I use this dash mount <in the link> for my Garmin. It sits on the dash, is heavy enough to not slide, even on turns. If you're running a lot of errands, you can just take it off the dash at each stop and put it under the seat or on the floor (and put something over it). Remember to remove the charger from the socket so it's not obvious that the "thing under the cover" is electronic. In a few states, CA being one of them, mounting the GPS to the windshield is illegal and it says so on the first page of the instruction guide.

I keep my GPS and dash mount in an insulated lunch bag I bought at Walmart for $7. I make sure it's not in direct sunlight but it's on the floor or back seat of my car.
