Mrs. Borrower was paranoid about everything. She downloaded
an app on her phone at the table that scans barcodes. She tried and tried to scan the barcodes at the bottom of the docs but none of them would work. She asked a lot of questions, which I could mostly show her on paper, some I couldn't answer. She would sign the doc and then try and scan it. She did this on every doc that had codes at the bottom. Ugh, no time for this today. Got through it though. This biz just gets stranger and stranger.

I did a signing for an attorney and his wife last holiday season....he insisted that his wife photocopy each notarized doc and even some of the non-notarized ones after they'd been signed. After about the 3rd time, I just told him we'd set the ones he wanted copies of aside and had her copy them while I was doing my QC....sheesh!

I had a BO ask me why she didnt have a copy of the 4 pages of the tax forms? You know the instructions..She asked me to make a copy for her I was at the bank. I usually do not print those..she went through the bo copy and asked for them..

I remember one . . .
A retired lady with lots of time on her hands. After reading and signing, she INSISTED that we sign the borrower's copies too. I said she could do that after I leave, but NO! She wanted me to NOTARIZE her copies. Ugh! I complied because I was new and didn't have a full day. Then she double-checked both stacks simultaneously to make sure they were identical. That must have been 10 years ago and I still remember what a controlling idiot she was. I'll bet she never looked at them again after I left.
