Not a Notary Topic- Thoughts and Prayers

To all the families in CT. What could a 5 yr old do to deserve to be cold bloody murdered. I have a 5 year old girl and just hearing what happened is gut wrenching. What god could allow this madness? Also in China 22 kids slashed with a knife.

Please take a moment and keep them in your thoughts.

I have not been able to stop crying today since I first heard the news this morning. My thoughts and prayers are going out to everyone who has been affected by this horrible tragedy.

Mike
Know how you feel. Picked up one of my 14 grandchildren from grade school today. Sad day.

Let's not get into that.....there's quite a bit I could (but won't) say about that issue, and it would turn this entire conversation upside down. Now, in *this* thread, I shall switch to silent mode.

Thoughts & prayers going out to those affected in CT.

This is another one of those completely senseless crimes involving innocent children.
I can't begin to grasp what those families are going through, and the trauma of all the children & teachers at the school. Ever read the book, "When Bad Things Happen to Good People". It helped me many years ago put God's role in human events into perspective.
A reminder to hug your children & treasure them.

As a parent of 5 children (3 minors) this is unimaginable. I never cease to pray! This is one of the many reasons why we should never waste energy being angry. Never leave those words of love unspoken. Tomorrow is not promised, cherish your loved ones, and live each day to the fullest.

this is just so very heart wrenching. "When Bad Things Happen to Good People" is a wonderful book, Marilyn. It was a godsend to me as well and I recommend it to anyone suffering a loss.

My son-in-law is a paramedic and a first

responder - he was on scene today...was cleared once they determined there was no one left to help.

Very trying day for him and when he saw his two kids tonight it was very emotional. I hope he's not too proud to ask for the grief counseling available to him.

Horrible horrible situation..

What a horrible event, so close to Chrismas holiday. My heart goes out to the families and the community. I pray for everyone and dear God, how are these folks going to cope with the pain the losses.

A horrific incident like this sure helps us put our "challenges" in perspective, doesn't it? This event was a painful reminder to not sweat the small stuff and to be grateful for all our blessings. Yeah, we get a little inconvenienced from time to time, but things could be so much worse.

I pray that all the good folks in that community - as well as all the others around the country (including our own) who have felt gut-punched by this massacre - will be able to find the strength, courage and support to move forward with their lives. I suspect it will take a very long time for many...
