Time to replace my printer

Okay, so in the middle of printing my last package, my second tray just quit working... still goes thru the motions, but won't pick up the paper. No amount of fiddling or cleaning helps...

My Brother HL-5370DWT has been a great printer for the last few years, but I think it's probably time for a new unit, since a new second tray is half the cost of a printer.

Looking at the newer 5470DWT, but also open to suggestions from folks who use other printers. What printer do you use, and why do you like it best???

Love my HL5474DWT! The only bummer is that a Windows computer is needed to print packages.
Fortunately my daughter lets me borrow hers.

Try roughing up the rubber rollers. (Large pencil eraser or fine sandpaper works)
Sometimes they get so smooth they won't pick up the paper anymore.
Likely they rollers need replacing ($5) but sometimes you can get them to work for a little while (like while waiting for the replacement rollers)

HP4350

get high yield toner from inktechnologies.com
at $45 each.

I'm a very high volume closer and could kick myself for waiting this long.

To do a professional job, you need a professional printer

I also have a 4350 (used on ebay for about $300). 59 pages a minute, dual tray, get toner cartridges on ebay from Weshipforonedollar - about $25 each including shipping.

I just bought this printer after using Brother 5370's. I love it.

Wow--I didn't know about that model. IMO that's a good

price for dual-tray, really fast, and all the latest wireless & mobile printing features. I still have a 5240 that's going strong, and plan to stay with that as long as possible.

Re: HP4350

I still have my backup printer, but it's slower... I'll try the roller thing.

Me too! But now it's mobile and my 4200n is inside, going strong as well. Going strong for 7 years. Only downside, only 250 pages per drawer. But that's okay for mobile.
